People in Ayrshire are dying alone. Please donate now to make sure someone is there for them in their final moments.
We offer emotional support and companionship to those who are dying and are alone, or feel alone. We also support families to be with their loved one. Our aim is to provide compassionate care, relieving the loneliness and isolation of end of life.
Our volunteers are ordinary members of the public who are trained in end of life changes/issues and have a kind heart. They provide a nourishing presence for you or your loved one who is dying, helping to share the load. They understand the difficulties people can face at this time, especially when they are alone or feel alone.
All of our companions are open minded and many are nurses or ex nurses, care workers and others who have a caring nature. They are trustworthy, good listeners and are respectful in your home. They are devoted to ensuring no-one dies alone and are naturally attentive, responding to whatever situation they find themselves in in a conscientious way.
We conduct regular recruitment and training, so if you would like to apply to volunteer with us please
